How to Remove Blank Pages with PrivaTools

  1. Upload a PDF — Drop a PDF up to 500 MB. Best for scanned documents with intermittent blank pages.
  2. Set sensitivity — 1-99. Higher values delete only entirely-blank pages; lower values also delete pages with very little content (good for scanner artifacts).
  3. Download the cleaned PDF — PrivaTools removes pages whose content density is below the threshold.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does it detect 'blank'?

Each page is rendered to a low-res raster and analysed for pixel density. Pages with less than (100 - sensitivity)% non-white pixels are marked for removal.

Will pages with only a page number get deleted?

Depends on sensitivity. At sensitivity 95 (default), pages with isolated tiny content like page numbers are kept. At sensitivity 80, they may be removed.

What if a page has only a watermark?

The watermark counts as content. Use sensitivity 99 to only remove pages with no content at all.
